Fly In a Royal Airline, Thai Airways


Being the national carrier of Thailand, Thai Airways had its beginning in 1960. It has its main hub in the grounds of Suvarnabhumi Airport and it connects to 60 international and 11 domestic destinations with a fleet size of 90 Airbus and Boeing aircraft. One of the longest commercial flights that the airline connects is between Bangkok and Los Angeles.


Its headquarters is at Chatuchak District, Bangkok. It was the first Asia-Pacific air carrier to fly to the Heathrow Airport and is the largest air passenger carrier among the East Asian carriers in Europe. The World Health Organization has recognized the airline for its excellent in-flight hygienic conditions. It has also received several other awards such as “The Best Airline in the World”, “World’s Best Cabin Staff” and “Airline of the Year” in 2007. It offers a well-designed official website through which the customers can book air tickets.


The airline offers world-class services through its First or Royal First Class, Business or Royal Silk Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class cabin facilities. It also offers a frequent flyer program, Royal Orchid Plus to its loyal customers. The airline has provided four lounges for both domestic and international travel passengers. The lounges provisioned are Royal First Lounge, Royal Orchid Spa, Royal Silk Lounge and Royal Orchid lounge. It has three maintenance centers where maintenance services are provided not only for Thai aircraft but also for other air carriers.


The airline celebrated its 50th year anniversary in 2010. As a founding member of Star Alliance and having code-share agreements with several other airlines, Thai Airways provides comfortable travel to all its passengers.
