Try out Thai Airways and Fly from Thailand with Sheer Comfort

Thai Airways, one of the largest and most popular airlines in Asia, has its headquarters in Bangkok in Chatuchak District. The main hub of the airways is Suvarnabhumi Airport, one of the main international airports in Thailand. The airways is also one of the founders of Star Alliance, one of the largest and the first global airline alliance. With a fleet of more than 80 aircraft, the airways covers a wide network of 75 cities in 35 countries.

The Airways has its root in Thai Airways Company which was the domestic carrier of Thailand. To expand the domestic carrier to an international level, the company went forward for a joint venture with SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System. In the beginning stages SAS, with their expertise and knowledge in the field, provided training, support and advice for the newly formed company. Later Thai nationals, with their hard work and dedication took over full responsibility of the airways. The first intercontinental flight  of the airways had its sojourn to Australia which was followed by trips to Europe and North America in the following years.

One of the interesting features of the Airlines is its unique uniform policy which requires the staff to have 2 different sets of attire, one on-board and other for outside cabin purposes. On-board, all female staff wears the traditional Thai attire. Thus, the beautiful attire is a privilege enjoyed exclusively by the Thai Airways travelers. The airlines’ implementation of a special hygiene program named “The Most Hygienic In-Cabin Environment Program” made them the first ever to be awarded a plaque by World Health Organization for its hygienic in-cabin system.
